Well, it is high time I give you guys another cute crafty tutorial. So I came up with this cute Christmas Tree Clippie.
Christmas Tree Clippie
Start by covering your clippie with a brown piece of ribbon.
Now cut Ribbon Lengths for the tree
(not all of the ribbons are shown above)
two...Green Ribbons 1.25 inches
two...Green Ribbons 1.5 inches
two...Green Ribbons 2.0 inches
one...Brown Ribbon 2.0 inches
one...Yellow Ribbon a little less than .5 inches
Once you have all your pieces cut, take and loop each of them in half and glue ends together.
Take the brown piece and glue it at the base (or opening end) of your clippie. I let my trunk/brown ribbon hang over just slightly.
Take each of your green pieces that are looped and match them up with the other piece that is the same size. Glue the ends together.
Then take these three green tree lengths and glue them, starting with the base of the tree onto the trunk, you have already glued onto your clippie.
(I would start a little higher than it shows here. I ended up moving my whole tree up just slightly after I was done. This seemed just a little too low)
(If you started a little higher your tree top point will be slightly higher than it is pictured here)
One you have your tree glued together take your small yellow piece of ribbon and glue it to the top of the tree. This piece should hang over the top edge of your clippie, just slightly.
(this was mine after I moved the tree up a little...I like it both ways)
I wasn't too sold on my Christmas tree star and thought it could be replaced by a button or a felt star or something, but I only had ribbon to work with, so this is what my tree looks like. Feel free to improvise and find something a little cuter. :)
Hope you enjoy this little Christmas Craft.
YOUR BLOG IS SO BEAUTIFUL! I WILL BE POPING BY AGAIN SOON AND MAY ALSO TRY TO FIND THE TIMKE TO MAKE THIS HAIR CLIP. HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY X
