It's been a while, but I came up with this cute little flower for you to love and wear...well, anywhere you would like to. :) Here you go...
Gather your supplies:
-Felted wool (or regular felt)
-headband or clippie (whatever you want to attach the flower to)
Step One: Cut 6 circles out of your felt (as you can see they definitely do not have to be perfect circles), but they are approx. 2x2 inches
Step Two: Take one of your circles, pinch it in the center
Step Three: Bring the edges in by pinching and gathering in the center until it looks something like the above picture.
Step Four: Let the pinched middle be folded down and stitch it in place. Once it is stitched together tie the thread off with a knot.
(As you can see it doesn't have to be pretty, it just has to be stitched to hold its shape)
Step Five: Repeat Steps 1-4 until all of your circles are stitched at the center. As you can see they can be stitched all differently, no two have to look the same.
Step Six: Take three of your Six circle pieces and put their stitched centers together and then stitch all there of them to each other at the center.
It should look something like this from the top
Step Seven: Take one of your the three that aren't sewn together, and place it along one edge bring the middle stitched center in with the other stitched centers. Do this same step with the last two circles, until all of the circles are stitched together. If you place all of last three circles evenly along the outside edge, the end result should make it look like a semi-circle (with a flat bottom, rounded top).
It should look something like this when all of the circles are finally sewn together...
Step Eight: Cover a clippie with ribbon...(if you would like it covered)
Step Nine: I used the ribbon edges to sew the flower to the clippie, but if you chose to not cover the clip with ribbon you can sew the flower directly to the clippie, using the slits the tie onto.
You could also decide to attach a pin to the bottom if you want the option of wearing it on your shirt...
Clip to a headband or sew directly onto a headband and not onto a clippie...
If you sewed it onto a clippie wear it in your hair...
