The product this week...Crayola Twistables. I have a love hate relationship with these things. Since this might get a little confusing I decided I would just make a list of reason to love them and reasons to not love them so much and let you decide for yourself, if they are worth trying.
Love Them:
-More crayon to be twisted down when you need it/No messy paper wrapper to be pulled off or down (when the tip has been used off the crayon
-No crayon flakes
-The packaging is fun and offers decent protection for the crayons
-love the see through effect of the crayon
-they don't write on skin
-they are entertaining to just twist up and down (can be good and bad)
-not worried about a mess or them drawing on something if they are twisted back up into their plastic frame (I can easily stash a few in my bag for Jackson to use, without bringing the whole lot of them).
Not so much love:
-a bit on the expensive side
-once they get twisted too hard and break they are really broken, you can't stick the long piece of crayon you are left with back in
-not washable
-dull tip. not a pointed tip (older kids/adults (like me) might care about)
-colors are a little more dull than traditional wax crayons
So I love them, but I also have my reserves about them. You'll have to decide if my few set backs are still worth it to you.
We LOVE these things at my house. Way less messy than "real" crayons. No one gets tempted to peel all the paper off and they don't break as easily. We've had the same set for 5 years, so it was def. a good buy for us.
